The Dirt On Me
As a high school freshman, I started my landscaping journey to make some extra cash, but it soon developed into a passion. I started my small business by finding a few clients looking for someone to maintain their yards and gardens while they were vacationing as time went on,
I started picking up more clients with more significant projects. This inspired me to transfer schools and switch my major from Engineering to Landscape Architecture.
I am now a Sophomore at Umass Amherst pursuing my bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture. One thing that has driven me to bring change to the landscaping industry is how many companies are less concerned with landscaping to help improve the environment and more looking to maximize profits. At WB Landscape Design, our mission goes beyond just making your lawn look good. We take a sustainable approach to landscaping by incorporating native plant and tree species that help filter ground and air pollution, all while promoting local biodiversity. Our company has also pledged to use electric-powered tools and mowers to decrease our carbon footprint and noise pollution.

I enjoy working with new and returning customers and am committed to providing each one with the best service possible. I take pride in my work and treat every client's yard as if it were my own. I look forward to working with new and repeat clients for many years to come.
Will Bandler, Founder

My love of gardening goes back to when I was a small girl. I remember walking through my grandfather’s garden and picking the beautiful red, ripe tomatoes and strawberries and admiring the ruby-colored rhubarb stalks. My grandmother would then make a delicious strawberry and rhubarb pie, and nothing is better than a homegrown tomato!
For the past 20+ years, I have enjoyed flower arranging, container potting, and perfecting my landscape. I have provided flower arrangements and container plantings for many local family/friends events. I have also offered many homeowners garden design input and plant/shrub selections. To me, a garden is always a work in progress. It’s a never-ending opportunity to get your hands dirty, be outdoors, and admire your masterpiece. As I head into my semi-retirement from my “real” job, I will apply for my Master Garden Certificate and continue enhancing my gardening knowledge and love.
It brings me great pleasure that Will has chosen to become a Landscape Architect focusing on sustainable/native plants to help protect Mother Earth.

Perennial Friendships
I am a rising senior at Colby College, working towards my BA in Environmental Science. I share Will's passion for conservation and sustainability, especially within the context of my studies for environmental justice and the significant impact we can have on today's environmental issues.
I've been working with Will on grassy fields since we first met in the outfield of our first-grade little league team. Now, as adults embarking on our future careers and going on nearly 15 years of friendship, working with Will has been a great experience. Working with new, electric tools is pretty cool, too.
Sharing my enthusiasm for earth-friendly practices with Will, and contributing to making a positive difference in conservation and sustainability gives me great pride. I love being outdoors, take pride in my work, and look forward to exploring ways to promote environmental stewardship in our community through the landscaping services we provide.
